Esnatech Introduces Enterprise Presence Integration with SKYPE Desktop VoIP Software

Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada (PRWeb) December 20, 2006 -- Esna Technologies Inc. (Esnatech) today announced it has added Skype support to its market leading Telephony Office-LinX unified communication platform version 7.5. As part of its ongoing goal for interoperability and to offer the most integrations in the market, Telephony Office-LinX will integrate Microsoft's Outlook Calendar with the popular SKYPE desktop VoIP application. Users of the Telephony Office-LinX platform will have their live Skype status tied into their Microsoft Exchange schedule, enabling other Skype users to see if they are available or not on their office telephone, or off the network. It will bridge the Skype Voip world with Enterprise telephony and Groupware status.

SKYPE is a popular desktop VoIP software that allows users to talk for free around the world. The benefits to Skype users are they can integrate their daily business calendar with their Skype application and start using the popular application for daily business use. Co-workers and customers will know their true availability and status. The value to Exchange users is they can now integrate their Exchange with an easy to use Voip application without the need to change their existing phone system.

"New disruptive technologies in the communications industry like SKYPE have the potential to truly change the way businesses operate, but the missing piece from a business perspective is enterprise application integration. This development bridges the two together and delivers true value to the business world!" Davide Petramala, Vice President Sales & Marketing Esnatech. "The Telephony Office-LinX platform is like glue that bridges communication devices to enterprise applications and our SKYPE integration once again demonstrates this fact and illustrates the value of Unified Communication!"

Skype support will be part of the upcoming 7.5 release of Telephony Office-LinX expected in Q1 2007. Esnatech will commence beta trials in January with its partners.

Telephony Office-LinX is already tightly integrated with RIM Blackberry & Symbian devices as well as Microsoft Windows, Pocket PC, Mobile PC, Exchange, Office, Terminal Services and Outlook. It can be administered directly from an organization's Microsoft Management Console or through Terminal Services over the web. Users can be managed through Active Directory and Group Policy.
